Who we are
This website and the sourcing service are operated by Green Acres BNG, Catraw Farm, Stannington, Morpeth, NE61 6AZ, trading as BNG Sourced by Green Acres BNG. Contact: hello@bngsourced.co.uk. By using the website or submitting a form you agree to these terms.
Information only
The content of this website is general information about biodiversity net gain in England and about our service. It is not legal, planning, ecological or financial advice and it does not create a professional relationship. Regulatory facts carry the date they were last checked and may change. Supply outlooks, counts and price ranges are indicative, describe a region rather than a site and may be out of date. Confirm the position with your ecologist, your planning authority, your legal adviser and the provider before relying on it.
The sourcing service
- Our sourcing service is free for developers. Where our involvement results in an introduction, the BNG provider pays us an introduction fee.
- We source potential supply from landowners, habitat bank operators and BNG providers across England, check it against the information you give us and make introductions. We do not guarantee that supply exists, that an introduction will lead to a sale or that any particular price, allocation date or planning outcome will be achieved.
- Unit prices and terms are agreed directly between you and the provider. We are not a party to that contract, we do not handle your payment and we do not act as your agent or the provider’s agent.
- Green Acres BNG also operates its own habitat banks. Where units from those banks are presented, they are one option among others and the same terms apply.
- Providers who register supply with us agree to pay an introduction fee, on terms confirmed in writing before an introduction and may decline any introduction.
The tools
The BNG sourcing check and the BNG exemption checker are indicative tools. Their results depend on the information you enter and on rules that may change. They do not replace a statutory biodiversity metric prepared by a competent ecologist, a decision of your planning authority or legal advice. The multiplier arithmetic uses the rules current at the date shown.
